Sheffield Hackspace (Sheffield Hardware Hackers and Makers) are a non-profit, member-run hackspace for central Sheffield. We’re building a workshop and community of makers to help people in Sheffield get involved in “the creative use of technology and tools for hobby-scale projects in fields such as computers, robotics, machining, technology, science, digital art or electronic art.”
We’re interested in whatever our members are interested in! If you wish you had access to a workshop, people to bounce ideas off, or somewhere to learn some making skills, come along! At the moment, are members are working on electronics (including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP8266), 3D printing and CAD, textiles (including clothing and kites), woodwork and metalwork, crafts, photography, high altitude ballooning… Some of these projects get highlighted on our blog, but there’s no substitute for coming along to see our workshop and meet the group.Interested? Drop us an email, or see our calendar and call in to an open session!
