Don’t just Donate, be a PORTLAND PATRON
Any donation will be most welcome and help us achieve out target. You will be making a significant contribution to our project, which we will mark by supplying a plaque which you can display at your premises. You can use the PORTLAND PATRON logo on your website and stationery.
We're pleased to welcome Henry Boot plc as a recent patron.
Our plan is to raise around £400,000, to buy, manage & start to renovate the building (see Our Vision). We expect to reach our target with a mixture of donations, the share issue and loans.
If you're interested in becoming a Patron, email patron@portlandworks.co.uk and we'll tell you more about the scheme.
Or download an application form and send it to us

We're maintaining steady progress with our fundraising and are over half way to our target. Our first objective is to purchase the building (the exact price is still subject to negotiation), and make urgent repairs.
Once we own the building we will work with the Architectural Heritage Fund, English Heritage, Heritage Lottery Fund and other agencies to raise further funds to bring the whole building into productive use as workshops and for educational purposes. We already have a working relationship with all these bodies.
Your financial help will support a working community project enabling us buy the building, restore the fabric, manage this unique building and continue to offer low cost accomodation for the mix of small businesses, develop further workshop space for new businesses and build a community and heritage facility.
Costs are minimal in the project - all Board members are volunteers, all surpluses go to the project and much of our support so far has been given pro-bono.
Finally - if you want to support us and want to take a stake in the project then consider our Share Offer, investing any amount between £100 and £20,000. You will be buying shares in the Community Benefit Society (formerly Industrial and Provident Society). Alternatively consider making a loan.
