Pippa Le Grand is producer at Only Lucky Dogs Theatre, which performs and produces shows at the historic Makerspace at Portland Works.
She began producing in 2017 and has played an active role in many different cultural activities in Sheffield. She is also the Marketing and Advertising Officer for A Younger Theatre, a theatre publication and resource for emerging creatives, and works as a marketer with organisations such as Migration Matters Festival.
Her role as producer is to liaise with fellow artists, venues and local and national businesses, organising all Only Lucky Dogs’ activities, using the skills of creatives and technicians from Sheffield and across the UK.
Pippa graduated from the University of Sheffield with an MA in Historical Research, where she met the other four members of the team who together started Only Lucky Dogs in 2018. They had a successful show at Edinburgh and later rented the Makerspace at Portland Works for a performance.
In 2018 Only Lucky Dogs became the first ever resident theatre company at Portland Works, and in February 2021 Pippa joined the board at the Works, where she says she feels privileged to be involved in making decisions about such an important part of Sheffield’s history.
