Phil is a regular building maintenance volunteer, helping to preserve and restore the Portland Works and was co-opted onto the board of directors in 2025.
He came to Sheffield in 1979 and worked in the Broadcast industry for 40 years. Initially as a Broadcast Engineer and then as a Director of a Sheffield based engineering company, designing and manufacturing broadcast equipment for national and international organisations.
