Rita moved into Sheffield in 2015. She was born in Budapest/Hungary and studied at Budapest Business School where she completed her BA in Economics.
She is a qualified accountant and financial expert with more than 25 years of experience in the fields of accountancy and finance. She worked in different senior financial positions for international banks and later became chief financial officer of a public library. She was elected as a board member of a state investment company while lived in Hungary.
Since she moved to the UK she had different accountant positions in different sectors. Currently she is working for a software company as a finance systems professional designing work flows and working on different projects.
She has an in-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, cash-flow projection and reporting. She is experienced with preparation of annual accounts and liaising with auditors. She was involved in application for grants and financial settlement of them.
She first became a director of Portland Works in 2017 and serves as treasurer to support the society with her expertise to help achieve its goals.
