This is an exciting and unique opportunity for the right person. We are recruiting to the role of Building and Projects Manager here at Portland Works. Play your part in conserving this fabulous Grade II* listed former cutlery works – the birthplace of stainless steel cutlery and now home to nearly 40 tenants who work across a range of creative industries including light manufacturing, blacksmithing, knife making, metal working, leather and wood working, musical instrument making and the visual arts.
The job involves identifying and prioritising repair and maintenance requirements, specifying and costing jobs and commissioning contractors or volunteers to deliver the work, keeping the projects within budget, managing the Building and Maintenance volunteers and ensuring safe working practices.
