On Friday 22 June 2018, Portland Works celebrated the 5th anniversary of its purchase. The event was held in the MakerSpace and was a wonderful opportunity for supporters. shareholders, tenants, Directors, Friends of Portland Works, the Buildings and other Tuesday volunteers to all get together.
It was great to see so many people who presently and over the years have all contributed towards developing the Portland Works and making it the success it is today. A delicious buffet from Harland Cafe and a wonderfully iced cake; made in the image of the Works by Beth Bradley, were soon eaten. Paul Iseard, one of the Directors, made a short speech and was able to ‘cut’ the first celebratory slice with a genuine Robert Mosley cake slice generously donated that very evening by supporter Gill Johnson.
Thanks to the volunteers who served the drinks and those who stayed to help clear away at the end of a very pleasant evening.
