“Sheffield landmark captured by city legend, Joe Scarborough” – Sheffield Star

Following the successful auction of limited edition #1 of 200 at this weekend’s Open Day, prints of the new Portland Works painting, created by Yorkshire artist Joe Scarborough, are now available to purchase online.

The Sheffield Star today published a long article about the painting where Joe described the work as both a love letter to the building itself and a paean to a lost way of life. He added:

I bet most people in Sheffield know someone who at some point in their life worked either at Portland Works or somewhere very much like it. Places like Portland Works are part of my childhood.

Lots of people will have walked past that building but never been inside and, because I know deep down people are nosy, I wanted to show them what’s on the other side of those walls.”

Prints of this amazing work are selling fast so we’d advise you to grab this piece of Portland Works history whilst you can.
